Michele Sapone after experiencing the horrors of World War II moves with his family
to Nice, without knowing the language, with the sole aim of living peacefully.
There he rediscovers himself as a tailor and thanks to a fortuitous meeting he become
s passionate about the world of art. He thus weaves friendships with famous artists of the
time such as: Picasso, Giacometti, Hartung ...
With them, the artisan tailor from Bellona (Caserta), will share his love for art and life,
exchanging works of art for tailor-made clothes. This passion will be shared by her
daughter Aika who growing up in this surreal world will also fall ill with the same
sweet illness of her father, whose remedy will be open an art gallery,
the Sapone Gallery in Nice.
